Installation is carried out by an authorised SAPFIR technician. A suppression lamp replaces an existing ceiling pendant in about half an hour — a three-room flat usually needs 3 to 6 systems, so three to five hours of work. The sensor version recesses at least halfway into a plasterboard ceiling so that, after any discharge, only the cartridge is replaced and the ceiling stays untouched. Industrial work is more demanding: modules are anchored above lines, sensors are placed to the design, and the system is tied into the alarm line.
