The operator at the line sees the fire before the sensor does. The TPS-01M lets them act on it: pull the pin and the modules fire at once. It is used wherever someone is permanently stationed at the plant — production, conveyor belts — or, conversely, where anyone from the public should be able to trigger the system, as at petrol stations. It complements the automatic sensor rather than replacing it.
