Chemical processes cause self-ignition. Water and foam are no use in lime and adhesive production — and in frost they freeze.
Slovakia’s largest producer of cement and construction chemicals has worked with SAPFIR since 2015. The reason is technological: chemical processes in production cause self-ignition, and neither water nor foam can be used around lime and adhesive manufacture. Then there is winter — water mains in unheated plant freeze. Powder works from −65 to +125 °C, so frost is a non-issue.
