In 2016 the cable runs in the data nodes burned — CCTV servers, the communications and control systems. The automatic water suppression worked. Then the water reached the floor below, flooded the shops, and the building-wide CCTV was out for nearly three months. The damage from the suppression exceeded the damage from the fire. Management turned to SAPFIR: powder suppresses electrical equipment without damaging it, and once vacuumed up, the server room carries on.
