A switchboard fire does not start with a flame — it starts with an overheated joint. The MPH-0.65 sits inside the cabinet where that happens and fires before the fire reaches the cable bundles above it. It covers 1.2 m² of class A area and 2.4 m³ of volume, which is ample for a closed cabinet or a cable shaft. It needs no power supply — inside the cabinet it is protecting, there would be none to draw. The powder harms neither contacts nor circuit boards; once it has done its job, vacuum it up.
